PRACTICAL FIELD NOTES / 18 OCTOBER 2026

AI workflows for Australian tradies

Start with the office work around a job: proposals, reminders, review replies and job-cost preparation.

Choose a low-friction first job

A practical first trial is turning your own site notes into a proposal using approved prices, quantities and exclusions. Another is drafting a reminder from a verified overdue invoice. Both produce drafts a business owner can check before anything goes to a customer.

Browse home services for general office workflows and construction and trades for project and workpaper preparation.

Keep the facts from your business

Use your actual service areas, business voice, payment terms and approved scope. State AUD and whether supplied prices include GST; have your normal reviewer confirm the treatment. Do not ask a model to invent measurements, job conditions, testimonials or turnaround promises.

For public review replies, keep private job details out of the message. For invoice reminders, verify that payment or a dispute has not changed the situation before sending.

Separate a draft from a commitment

A proposal draft is not a signed quote, a reminder draft is not permission to charge, and a purchasing suggestion is not an order. Put the handover boundary in your starter prompt and keep a person responsible for the final external action.

Project payment claims, retention, worker classification and tax records need the applicable contract, jurisdiction and professional review. A country-neutral office skill should not be treated as a local compliance tool.
